What is SafeguardingConcern?
SafeguardingConcern is a secure online system created by our safeguarding specialists and development team to enable your staff to securely report safeguarding concerns, which your DSLs can respond to and manage.
How it works
- Staff record safeguarding concerns using the easy-to-use online reporting tool, which automatically alerts the Safeguarding Team.
- DSLs and their deputies determine the most effective immediate response.
- Our unique planner feature enables them to direct, tracking and monitoring of the progress of any ongoing actions, such as allocating tasks to other staff members or referrals to multi-agency partners.
- All concerns, from the initial recorded report through to final case closure, are recorded by compiling individual comprehensive case audit trails. This, together with the range of comprehensive reporting options, facilitates governance, inspection and statutory requirements.

Our 12-month licencing model is simple on a per school basis and is calculated on pupil roll.

User Levels Explained
Understanding the difference between Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 user roles
Level 1 User Role
Staff & volunteers
- Simply search and select the name of the pupil they have a concern about.
- Enter the details of their concern or describe the incident.
- Enter the date, time and location of the incident. If immediate action was taken, provide details.
- Click 'send concern' and the concern will be submitted.
- Once submitted, the DSL and Level 2 users are automatically notified.
Level 2 User Role
DSLs & DDSLs
- Record any concerns they might have in the same way as Level 1 users.
- Respond to concerns submitted by other staff members.
- Receive notifications of new concerns via email or when logging into the system.
- Accept a concern to manage or assign it to another Level 2 user.
- Detail responses, assign tasks, view task planner, review chronology, and create detailed reports & statistics.
Level 3 User Role
Multi-site school & trust managers
- Monitor safeguarding across multiple schools.
- Respond to concerns submitted
- Easily switch between schools.
- Ensure consistent safeguarding standards across all schools.
- Generate comprehensive multiple-school compliance reports for governance.
