Safeguarding e-Bulletin – 14 December 2022
The festive season is here and, in these financially challenging times, we're all craving a little cheer as fuel prices and other costs soar. We understand the financial pressures all educational settings are facing, so we have taken the decision to freeze the cost of SSS Learning training courses for another year. By taking this action we very much hope this will ease some of that burden and help make your budget spread further whilst still being able to access affordable top quality training.
Whilst there will be more detail on 'what's new & planned' in our January bulletin, I would just like to highlight a few new features that are live now in the safeguarding suite:
- Our new Template Documents Library is now stocked, jam-packed with a wide range of policies and protocols, all authored for specific settings. So, if you're in the primary or secondary sector, a school or an academy, there are bespoke templates readily available for your setting.
- Our Safeguarding Auditor Tool is also now live, enabling you to audit your current safeguarding provision against a template which meets all the latest statutory and advisory requirements. Our comprehensive audit content examines a wide range of safeguarding topics and enables you not only to measure your current status but build a task list to plan for any needed improvement. Although only launched a week ago, we have already received great feedback from users!
- As you will have seen, this year we have produced a wide range of 'Top Tips' videos on a whole host of subjects. We have now introduced the facility where you can allocate a particular video to an individual member of staff, governor or trustee. All designed to direct information swiftly to those that need access to it.
Rest assured we are fully maintaining our busy production schedule, expanding the breadth of our safeguarding suite to include further courses on new safeguarding topics. In addition, we are developing bolt on modules, expanding training content to support specialist roles e.g. How to conduct a Health & Safety Walk.
Finally I must reflect on the fantastic achievement of our development team who have redesigned our admin and training dashboards. The resulting sleeker, more user friendly formats are amazing!
