What's happening when KSCIE 2025 comes in to force 1st September?
Due to the revised content of KCSIE 2025 being primarily technical updates, our update training will be slightly different this September:
- There will be a short update course for school leaders and governors to provide them with comprehensive information to explain the technical changes.
- Governance, leaders, and all other staff are still required to fulfil the annual requirement of reading the sections of KCSIE 2025 relevant to their role. They will be able to do this by accessing the updated version of the documentation through our system which, when completed, will be recorded as usual in your admin dashboard.
- As the 2025 changes are only of a technical nature, in place of an update course for staff, we have created a new KCSIE 2025 Quiz where their knowledge is tested relevant to their role, following reading of KCSIE documentation.
In addition, we have also created two new refresher courses ready for the new academic year, one for those working in regulated activity and one for those not working in regulated activity. Both courses refresh the knowledge of our core safeguarding and child protection courses, based on KCSIE, by revisiting the key learning outcomes accompanied by a series of brand new practical case studies. These courses will be available in time for September.
New starters and those who have not previously completed training should complete the core Safeguarding and Child Protection course, relevant to their role, which has also been updated and available in time for September.
