Connect with Sara

Sara is an experienced education professional, with 34 years in the profession. During her career in education, Sara held the position of headteacher for 20 years which also included undertaking an executive headteacher role. Throughout her career in education, Sara was an advocate for promoting safeguarding best practice standards in education, valuing this as a key priority for governance, leadership, staff and pupils.

Additionally, Sara also led on the Reducing Inequalities in Communities (RIC) project for 39 primary schools with multi-agency partners Public Health and NHS trust; together with leading on recruitment & retention for her Local Authority. She was also the founder member of the Bradford Birth to 19 SCITT and Teaching school, a scheme designed to train and develop future teachers using research informed teacher training.

In 2022 Sara retired from headship and joined the SSS Learning team. Her role draws on her extensive experience of school leadership and frontline safeguarding practice and includes involvement in content authoring, quality assurance processes and school liaison.
